Frequently asked questions
How do I book a session?
You can get in touch via email, phone, text or via my web page. Let me know the date you have in mind and I can instantly check my availability. I ask for a 50% deposit in order to reserve the session date.
Where do your photoshoots take place?
My shoots normally take place on location. I travel to your home or your favourite outdoor spot. The important thing is you and your family feel comfortable. Headshots can be done at my home studio if requested.
What areas do you cover?
I mainly work in the Walthamstow area but I am always happy to travel. Occasionally I charge for travel time if you are very far away!
How long do sessions take?
When working with families, my shoots are child-led so I like to allow up to 2 hours because children will be children. However, a typical session lasts between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours if all goes smoothly.
What happens if my child is unwell?
I’m a mum and I know that children get ill several hundred times a year! If you or your little one are feeling under the weather - it's no problem at all to reschedule to a time when everyone's feeling better.
What should I wear?
Muted colours work best when taking photographs, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and relaxed in whatever you are wearing. I'm always happy to send a link to my Pinterest board if you are looking for inspiration.
How soon will I get my photos?
My turnaround time depends on how many other bookings I have that week. I always aim to get final images delivered between 2-5 days after a session.
Can I post my photos on social media?
Absolutely yes! These are your photos to use how you please and it always makes me happy to see photos I’ve taken shared on social media.
How many photos will I get from a shoot?
I believe that your pictures should be yours to use how you wish, which is why I edit and deliver your photos in a digital format for you to keep. No password-protected galleries or hidden print costs. For family photography sessions, I normally deliver between 30-40 high-resolution digital images ready for you to print.
What do you do during the editing process?
After the shoot, I go through and individually edit each photo. This involves cropping images and colour correcting to make sure they fit together and tell a story. Minimal retouching after delivery of the final images is available at an hourly rate.
